So this week I'm jumping back in with a quick and easy recipe you can try which looks kinda fancy but takes no time at all to prep and cook: fish parcels. All you will need is some carrots, potatoes, garlic, butter, herbs, lemon and of course, a few fillet of fish. Let me know what you think and if you try it out! #CookWithMe #EasyRecipe

Hi guys! Sorry it's late this week, been pretty hectic here, so here's a quick and easy, no-bake recipe for you and/or your babies! I used this when we did baby-led weaning with Amelia and she loved it because it's so easy to eat with her hands, and you can whip it up in about 10 minutes. Just leave it to set in the fridge for an hour and you're good to go :)
This recipe was inspired by something I saw on Pinterest, and I just mix it up a bit with different things like pears, apples or raisins etc. See the original here: https://mykidslickthebowl.com/apple-oat-no-bake-bites/
Let me know what you think and if you try it!...

Hi guys! This week I want to talk to you about a challenge that I'm starting called the Five Pound Food Challenge!
This is to see what everyone can come up with for this budget -- can you still eat healthy etc. The reason I want to do this is because a lot of people struggle with money these days and whether or not they can eat healthy. Also to see how it feels to have to come up with a meal with only that amount of money to try and make us more aware of what we spend and waste.
Whether you are a regular vlogger or not, come and get involved and post your video to YouTube with the #fivepoundfoodchallenge hashtag!...

Hi there guys! This is my first ever video where I explain what I hope to do with my channel and introduce myself to you :) Sorry it's a bit cringe, I'm not used to speaking to a camera like this -- but I hope to improve as I make more videos and increase my production skills too!
So enjoy and leave a comment if you like :)

This is one of my new favourite go-to recipes -- it goes down very well at parties and with guests, and best of all: it's so easy to make! People will think you spent hours making the perfect BBQ ribs, when in reality you sat back and put your feet up (unless you have a small child like me!).
So here's a quick guide to how I make my "famous" BBQ ribs in four easy steps:
Step 1: Chop onions and garlic, place ribs in slow cooker and cover with a whole bottle of BBQ sauce.
Step 2: Add a little water to the BBQ sauce bottle (about half), swish around and pour out over the ribs.
Step 3: Cook on HIGH for 4 - 6 hours (or LOW for 6 - 8 hours).
Step 4: Once the meat is cooked and falling off the bone, serve and enjoy!
That's all there is to it! People will go crazy for it and think you slaved for hour. Just serve up with some potatoes and veg or rice and you've got a really tasty meal that is super simple to make and doesn't cost that much either; so whether you're on a budget or short on time, this recipe is perfect!...
This is another old video from last year (Nov 2016) which my husband began recording without any warning -- as you can probably tell from my reactions even more this time (I was not impressed :P)!
Once I sit down to remember, I'll also update this post to give the proper recipe method, as this video is a bit all over the place.
Even though the video was ropey, people still managed to copy and follow along, so I'm sure you can as well if you try :)
See the video below for the recipe!
I did get a couple of photos of the final product at the time too:
As always, let me know how yours goes in the comments below -- post photos!...

He was trying to encourage me to start a food blog back then, and now it's finally here! I'll update this post to include the recipe properly, since the beginning of this recipe wasn't caught on camera.
Despite the randomness of the video below, some people on Facebook did manage to follow along and successfully make their own dish from this -- so just bear with my husband's silliness and commentary ;)

Hi everyone my name is Lucy and I would love to share some of my good, cheap, healthy and baby friendly recipes with you. This is my first go at this blogging thing so please be patient and any feedback would be much appreciated. I decided to go on this journey after searching for loads of cheap dishes, books, the whole lot and I have found it hard because even the budget-friendliest recipes out there has ingredients I do not have, so this is my attempt to put together a list of recipes with ingredients that people do have in their cupboard or even just ingredients that can be purchased cheaply.
Now I am by no means an amazing cook but I do enjoy and love cooking. I mostly cook from scratch and without measurements but I will try my best to give you guys measurements. I will be adding a new recipe every week so please watch this space.
I love risotto and this one can be done so cheaply, you can even use sweet potato or courgette if you don't fancy butternut. It serves 2 adults and 1 child and costs approximately £4 to make if you're using Parmesan, but even cheaper if you don't (how exciting is that).
HERE GOES NOTHING!
Ingredients
2 cups risotto rice
1 medium butternut squash
1 big beef tomato
1 big onion
2 chopped garlic cloves
1.5 litre veg stock (2 oxo cubes mixed with water)
paprika 1 tsp or to your liking
mixed herbs 1 tsp or to your liking
salt and pepper to taste
Parmesan to serve (optional)
Oil
Method
Before you start chop butternut into bite size chunks and lay on a lightly oiled oven proof dish. Sprinkle over the paprika and place in 180 degrees preheated oven until butternut is nice and soft. Then mix the 2 oxo cubes with water in a 1.5 litre jug, mix in the mixed herbs. Set aside.
Place a bit of oil in a pan, fry onion and garlic until soft. Add rice and tomato and cook for a further 5 min, stirring the whole time to keep from sticking.
Add stock slowly, stirring continuously to keep from sticking. Onc...
